Fed's Rosengren: Markets well understand Fed not planning raising rates any time soon

"At this point, markets well understand that we are not planning to raise rates any time soon," Boston Federal Reserve President Eric Rosengren told CNBC on Friday.

Commenting on the US labour market data, which showed that Nonfarm Payrolls increased by 1.37 million in August, "jobs report was stronger than I expected" Rosengren said. "We are seeing more borrowers use lending program."

Market reaction

The US Dollar Index showed no reaction to these comments and was last seen gaining 0.05% on a daily basis at 92.83.
